Brachytherapy Video

On 16th September 2009 the first brachytherapy implant in Northern Greece was performed by urological surgeon Stelios Voulgaris and his team. Following the first implant a scientific event was organised chaired by the President of the Hellenic Urological Association Dr Vasilis Rombis. At this event, state-of-the-art lectures on Prostate Brachytherapy were addressed by Prof Stephen Langley, Professor of Urology at the University of Surrey and Dr Robert Laing, Head of Radiation Oncology at St Luke's Cancer Centre. There were also lectures by Dr Despoina Misailidou, Head of Radiation Oncology at Papageorgiou Hospital and Dr Stelios Voulgaris, Director of Prostate Brachytherapy Centre of Euromedica Blue Cross Hospital.
