Don't panic! Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, but has the advantage that it usually grows very slowly. So you do not need to panic. Your urologist will instruct you on the best strategy for you. Some cases of localized cancer may simply be placed under close observation. Other options include radical prostatectomy, brachytherapy and external beam radiation with similar results, but differences in side effects.
